General Construction management
The construction management started in 2012 and ended in April 2017 concerned the whole building, plant and finishing works planned for the renovation of the existing buildings bound by the Superintendency and for the construction of the Lavazza headquarters; some numbers can help define the size of the intervention:
-
Contracted lots 10
-
Companies committed 22
-
Professional design studios 11
-
Surfaces renovated and restored 8,700 sqm
-
Office area 15,500 sq m
-
Underground garages 6,000 square meters
-
New internal square open to the public 4,000 square meters
-
Urbanization works in the Aurora district
-
Total amount of the works € 92,000,000
At the inauguration of the complex, which took place in April 2017, the initial budgets and intervention times were confirmed despite the fact that during the excavation work a cemetery area from the Roman era and an early Christian basilica were found dated back to 400 AD; extension of the area was of 1,600 sq m which led to a modification of the project to accommodate the entire area of the office complex in a basement volume, which after the restoration has become a museum space open to the public.
